This position requires the candidate to be onsite in Southern California. Only local candidates considered.

Purpose

The Product Field Marketing Specialist is responsible for driving awareness and adoption of our VAP products, digital solutions and drive the implementation of all Plumbing directions within the network. The role will be based within the Reece network in the respective region they support.

Key Role

  • Grow the sales of VAPs throughout the Reece network.
  • Ensure that all Plumbing Directions are implemented by the branch network.

Key Responsibilities

VAP Products

  • Ensure that all staff are knowledgeable on VAPs and have the ability to sell them
  • Increase the awareness and knowledge of Reece VAP Plumbing products
  • Ensure branches consistently sell the full range of VAP.
  • Increase VAP sales within region
  • Keeps abreast of the changes occurring in the market place in respect to competitors, like products, regulation changes and plumbing standards, product shifts and pricing etc.
  • Provide demonstrations and training to customers where required, incorporating staff where possible.

Customer Relationship 

  • Support internal and external customer requirements 
  • Conducts site and customers visits to gain knowledge to maximize the sales of the products 
  • Build strong relationships with operations, regional VPs & branch managers  
  • Follows the systems that have been developed for handling customer service calls and complaints related to VAP products  
  • Proactively responds to customer complaints or issues relating to installations, etc. and resolves to meet the satisfaction of the customer, Reece and branch management 
  • Provides technical assistance to internal and external customers 

  • Train branch staff on the full range of Plumbing VAP product via branch visits.
  • Facilitate ongoing training programs for staff and customers to improve their product knowledge on VAP.
  • Actively participate in further training provided by relevant manufacturers and suppliers as required.
  • Actively participate in sales training programs provided by the company to assist in the development of skills attained.

Branch Visits

  • Conduct branch visits on an agreed basis to discuss the standard agenda.
  • The Standard agenda will include new products released, new directions released, merchandising requirements, current promotions, VAP focus for the month and any other important information that needs to be communicated to the branch.
  • Effectively manage time by scheduling branch visits and appointments.

  • Provide a link between the Merchandising department and branches to capture feedback on ways to improve directions, products, service, promotions, etc.
  • Actively encourage staff within region to submit ideas for improvement.

New branches/Refurbishments

  • Ensuring new branch managers understand the new branch set up process and assist new branches with the set up of their branch and in particular the trade display area.
  • Ensure new branches follow all Merchandising Directions.
