As a member of the USC Gould School of Law’s Graduate & International Programs Office, the Marketing Projects Manager will play a central role in the marketing, promotion, advancement, and growth of our integrated graduate and undergraduate programming, which encompass online, hybrid and residential modalities. Working closely and collaboratively with the Gould admissions and advising teams, as well as the associated marketing and recruitment teams, this position plays a lead role in outreach and marketing efforts; oversees day-to-day promotional activities; conceptualizes, designs and implements digital ad placements and visual content; engages with key partners and stakeholders; and develops content, strategy and messaging backed by data-driven insights and analysis.
In addition, the Marketing Projects Manager contributes as a vital lead for new initiatives and launches. This position helps shape the organizational direction of the graduate programs’ cross-discipline content, design, messaging, and CRM operations from a marketing perspective – from identifying insight-driven needs to building comprehensive email strategy and campaigns and seeing them through their execution.
Successful candidates will have excellent written and verbal skills, including hands-on content development experience; an eye for design and new media opportunities; digital strategy experience; reporting analysis experience; and experienced at consulting with organizational leadership. The Marketing Projects Manager will report to the Graduate & International Programs Office Marketing Specialist.
Responsibilities
Works cross-functionally to support graduate and undergraduate marketing initiatives that drive growth across graduate programs for the law school
Actively contributes to the development of marketing and recruitment goals, objectives and strategic plans. Assists in determining target markets and audiences
Develops deliverables, materials and reporting on overall strategy, KPIs and performance impact for online and undergraduate program marketing, in consultation with staff leads and key stakeholders
Takes leadership and ownership of marketing mix including copy and design for digital and traditional advertising, web marketing, collateral, partner success deliverables, videos, lectures/webinars, social media, thought leadership, press releases, etc.
Manages day-to-day marketing operations, implementing the planning, scheduling and coordination of campaigns to align with marketing strategies to drive goals forward
Ensures consistency and integration across all messaging platforms
Develops strong cross-functional relationships as a solution-oriented team member, including vendor management
Collaborates with various G&IP program leads to ensure team-oriented synergy across marketing efforts and law school directives
Provides insight and recommendations for digital content refreshes and strategy improvements
Help guide strategy for content development aimed at increasing brand affinity and driving measurable engagement
Analyzes and evaluates data reports, current market trends, competitor campaigns and internal analytics to inform marketing performance and decision-making
Assists with final exam administration and proctoring at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters and commencement each year
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested; the university reserves the right to add or change duties at any time
Stakeholder Engagement:
Works closely with vendors on marketing, advertising, and other graduate projects and launches; offering strategic input and recommendations
Serves as key liaison with partners across USC and external audiences to elevate awareness and promote high-priority graduate programs
Provides insights into revenue-driven initiatives and maintains accountability for marketing efforts
Gathers and presents performance data to key stakeholders to support enrollment goals
Qualifications
Experience:
5+ years of professional experience in digital marketing, with increasing responsibilities related to project management, strategy, data analysis, reporting, content creation and marketing support, including management of multi-layer campaigns
Experienced in managing digital content – including website, social channels, advertising creative, CRM platforms, SEO
Experienced in working across teams on multiple projects, both as a collaborator and individually
Experienced in consulting high-level leadership on strategies and best practices
Experienced in higher education setting and promoting academic programs
Skills:
Proficient in written and visual content creation — using Adobe suite and Canva — to engage prospective students and to market products
Advanced market analysis research and performance reporting
Strong understanding of integrated marketing strategies, advertising, and sponsorships, with a willingness to learn and grow within the role
Complex project management, including managing/meeting deadlines and budget tracking
Balances complex long-term initiatives with time-sensitive urgent requests
Strong written and verbal communications, including delivery of presentations
Ability to supply creative ideas and concepts to improve marketing campaigns and deliver impactful results
Critical thinking and complex problem solving
High level of professionalism and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, balancing complex long-term initiatives with time-sensitive urgent requests
Marketing automation software experience preferred
Google Analytics experience preferred
Education:
A graduate degree is preferred

The annual base salary range for this position is $89,635.64 - $104,000.
